Step-by-step MacOS file encrypting from the context menu

You don’t always want to encrypt an email but maybe, just maybe, only the file you want to send – or even keep encrypted just for yourself. In today’s article we will share with you our step-by-step guide on how to encrypt files right from the context menu on your Mac!

In some cases one simply does not want to encrypt the whole email – sometimes it’s better to encrypt the file itself that would be otherwise included in the email.

Encrypting just the file itself may be useful for storing files that are private but you still need them on your computer, or for getting those files safely to other users.

It’s actually super quick and easy! You don’t even need Cryptoucan™ for this operation since you are using public keys of all parties involved. You only need them to decrypt those files. Just be sure you have the public keys imported to your key manager.
Oh, and also – this guide applies to all types of files!
