Step-by-step Windows file encrypting and decrypting from context menu

You don’t always want to encrypt an email but maybe, just maybe, only the file you want to send – or even keep encrypted just for yourself. In today’s article we will share with you our step-by-step guide on how to encrypt files right from the context/explorer menu!

In some cases one simply does not one to encrypt only emails – sometimes it’s better to encrypt the file itself that would be otherwise included in the email. That may be for storing of files that are private but you still need them on your computer or for getting those files safely to only those people you want to.

It’s actually super quick and easy! You don’t even need Cryptoucan™ for this operation since you are using public keys of all parties involved. You only need them to decrypt, open those files. You just need to have the public keys imported to your key manager (Kleopatra).
